About Katie-jo Gracie
Katie-jo is an autistic, ADHD Christian who writes about the intersections of faith, disability, social justice, and everyday family life. Drawing on years of experience in schools and alternative provisions, she has taught and trained educators to better include students with additional needs, and has guest lectured at colleges on creating learning spaces where every young person is welcomed as they are.
A passionate advocate for disability inclusion in churches, KJ works to help Christian communities recognise and remove barriers so that autistic and disabled people can fully belong. She has contributed to NHS training materials on making healthcare more accessible for autistic patients, and serves as a parent representative for the Bedford Borough Parent Carer Forum, amplifying the voices of families navigating complex systems of support.
At home, KJ is married with two children and has been deeply involved in the home education community, both educating her own children and helping to run large forums and local co‑operatives for other home‑educating families.
Alongside writing and advocacy, KJ is a musician who, through words, music, and community work, seeks to help the Church listen more carefully, love more bravely, and make room at the table for everybody.
